radiator change

Time to put the elan back on the road. It has been off the road for 2 years now with all that is going on i just thought it was not worth putting it back on the road. So got to change the water radiator on sunday Had a read on here for the procedure for removal looks to be ok. I may add some bad language which looks to be missing from the post LOL. Looking forward to driving it again.

Doing it now its never been out what a horrible job everything is fighting me it's drawn Blood LOL. 8 mm city then clips right in front of them and the under rad cover with the skinniest bolt heads i have ever seen how do you get a grip on them little devils looks like a drill job to me. if you read this and can advise please do having a cup of tea to early for a beer.

The ones holding the undertray on? plenty of WD40 wind them back and forth to break the rust. if not just cut the heads off, you can sort them with the frame on the bench rather than scrabbling around on the floor. Once you get them out replace with normal depth head stainless coated in copper grease.

Douse the 3 small screws on the end of the prongeron and the long one on the base of the "tow eye" while you are fighting with the others.

Just stopped for tea myself!

Thats real luxury! Expensive screws and that represents a tool change for those of us that have to lie on a concrete floor to undo them.
