US front license plate mounting options

Since I'm a newbie I'm a little embarrassed to ask such basic questions, but a quick search of the the vast sea of info in the forum didn't turn up what I was looking for (I'm sure it's there if I made the right search).

For US cars in states that require a front plate, what mounting options are there? I'm not very eager to drill holes in the front of my car nor obstruct airflow through the radiator. I'm sure this must be a common and obvious thing, but I'm at a loss.

im not sure what the laws are in the US, but in the uk they are either glued on using sticky pads or two self tapping screws, and its mounted centre middle of the bumper. But if you looking for an alternative mounting position id be interested to see peoples ideas as id like to move mine either off centre or lower and angled up.

I used an Esprit mounting plinth. Two small holes under the bumper so they're not noticeable from the front. This way when I go to shows and to the track it's an easy on off operation.

I put the plate in my trunk and will tell any officer that complains that the mounting part is on order from England

I found a seat on the local Police Captain's Community Advisory Board and am helping to sponsor the Christmas party for the officers and staff... and the plate is in the map holder between the seats.

This could work

Needs a remote switch to activate it from the driver's seat. If pulled over, activate before the constable walks round to the front and plead ignorance.
