HELP - Vancouver BC

Postby GeoffSmith » Sun 16.06.2019, 16:52

Not directly Elan related… Peter (our youngest) is a few days into a holiday in Whistler BC with four friends from Uni. Unfortunately, one of his friends has fallen and is now in Vancouver General with concussion and a broken hip & wrist. They would like to visit him at some stage, so can anyone in Vancouver help out with a back yard where they can pitch a tent for a night or two?

Geoff - I'm sure one of our LEC Canadian friends lives in Vancouver and maybe able to help out ??

If Peter's mate had fallen on Vancouver Island and been hospitalised in Victoria my sister would have helped out.

Thanks for all the suggestions and offers. I have taken up your suggestion Colin and will check in when we reach Bordeaux tomorrow night.

There is not so much urgency now as the lad is under heavy sedation for a few days. Apparently he came off a zip wire and smacked into some rocks.

Unless his insurance covers him from suing himself, probably not.

Anyway, LEC has come up trumps (and I don't mean in a Donald sort of way) and the lads have been put up close to the hospital thanks to esprit888's contact. More details when I get home but it's pool time after walking around Bourg and Blaye in 32°C heat. How is the weather back home?

Well the good news is I'm fully acclimatised. More news when I've got a proper keyboard.

Poor sod, but thank goodness it wasn’t Peter who was the test pilot. Hope he ends up OK.
