Recent unwelcome activity (of the 'Specially Processed American Meat variety) has prompted a number of you to get in touch with me by telephone, e-mail and PM over the last 36 hours or so. Thanks for the vigilance gang. It just goes to amplify further what a brilliant esprit de corps we have here.
Very small (reversible, if necessary) steps have been taken to discourage our recent visitors. If these measures fail, then we can turn the screws several more notches yet. But, our aim is to keep the Forum as open and public as we can. This ethos will always be the caveat under which we make our decisions.
I don't want to explain exactly what has been done - for obvious reasons. But you have our assurance that we're on to 'em.

Pistonheads were also targetted because I noticed something on their website that said:-

"due to unwelcome activity today ... blah, blah, blah.... guests will not be allowed to post comments on the notice board. Only official members will be allowed to post"

Or words to that effect.
