Whilst at Le Mans Classic I met....

Postby norman verona » Sun 09.07.2006, 06:54

... one of you members. I was parked outside the entrance to Maison Blanche waiting for a friend to get a dry sump kit from his car (don't ask) when a chap in a M100 drives up and stops beside me.

First mistake. As I hadn't been watching the road and turned to see this chap get out of the car wearing a LDC cap I asked why was he driving a Mazda.

He did, however forgive me my insult and we got chatting. He told me about your forum so here I am.

I have a Caterham 7 which is a highly modified BDR and an Elise. I sold the 1973 Elan Sprint fhc when we moved to France last December.

you can see the cars at http://www.norman.dmsweb.biz.

We are converting the barns on our farm into gites aimed at sportscar owners. You can see all about this at http://www.FrenchBlat.com

Just for the record I am a member of:

Lotus 7 Club GB
Lotus Drivers Club
Club Lotus
Clob Lotus France

If anyones interested in a break in one of the gites, email me and I'll send you a code for 15% discount.

Finally a big thanks to the chap at Le Mans and I do apologise for the insult, lets put it down to rapidly increasing old age!

Hi Norman,

Have a look here http://lotuselancentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7361 It could be one of this crowd ?

I've heard of FrenchBlat through a newspaper or sports car review so I'm now going to have a look at your website. I'm sure there will be a few others interested in the concept of gites, sports cars and fast, twisty French roads.

Mark, I think it was Geoff. Seem to remember A5??? on the reg plate.

We've finished two gites, The Lotus Suite and MG Suite. Should have the 3rd done by end of year and think it's going to be the Bugatti Suite.

Geoff, trust you enjoyed it. Everyone else who, unlike me, went to the whole thing says I must go next year. Talking Lynne into it.
