Gang

I'm going to be out of action w.e.f. tomorrow.
I'm going into hospital for shoulder surgery and I'll be 'left hand only' when I come out.
Doug knows exactly the procedure I'm having done and I'm sure he'll enlighten the nosier members amongst you.

All those years of using your "right" hand have finally taken effect Sy !!

You might not be able to drive for a while but you will still be able to follow what's going on in LEC - using your "left" hand of course

Been there and done that Sy... I had the luxury of an awesome group of PT's and an extremely supportive girlfriend. The surgery is the easy part; it's the months and months of rehab that are the kicker. Good Luck!!!

We can compare scar tissue next year at Donnie!

Nice website - its always interesting to see these modern surgical techniques. I would say it was reasonably non-invasive right up to the bit where they start drilling holes in the bone :shock:

Good luck and a speedy recovery.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to sit on your arse with a blank look on your face.

(The part of your web-link on my problem makes it sound like two years of hell - until you reach 'most patients diagnosed with a 'frozen shoulder' do not actually have Adhesive Capsulitis.....'

That cheered me up quite a bit; and of course hearing about someone worse off than you always helps) :D

Yikes... All our best wishes and prayers with you in the surgery and your recovery, Sy. Let us know how it all goes.

At least you'll still be able to shift while you're healing. Just make sure you're on straight roads at the time! :?

Good luck Sy, I hope the knife-man can work as smoothly as the web illustration suggests is possible.
I,m also awaiting diagnosis of a shoulder problem dating from my skiing trip in April so I sympathise with you for the inconvenience and pain.
Keep us posted on progress and since your clinic is also my local clinic, I shall be hoping for a frank assessment of the skill with which the proceedure is accomplished.
