It was, and for good reason.

Many years ago, a young Irishman, a grey haired gentleman from darn sarf in Manchester and someone else who's name I forget, ran riot on the forum changing their names to Sy.V, Doug., GeofSmith and the like along with the appropriate avatar, causing untold confusion amongst the ranks and angst amongst the moderators and admin. I had a long conversation with Bencky boy by PM who thought he was talking to the LEC flounder until it all turned very surreal.

We ought to have a bit of a competition to see who can come up with the best username. As you can tell, I like to use a name which has some connection to a characteristic of the Elan. I would love to see a new user take the name 'Portly Wastegate'.
