Problem with Avatar upload, autom. reply to post, new pos

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and would like to ask a couple of questions:

1. When I upload my Avatar, which is 3.93 KB and 80x46 pixel, an error message says:
''Could not upload avatar to ./images/avatars/upload/3905116db59aca7447f989ab95b4a186_9598.jpg.''

2. Altough ''Notify me upon replies by default'' is set on ''yes'' I do not get notifications when someone answers my post.

3. I've made a reply to a post that does not show up. Is that because the post have to be released by an admin? That was in the 'General' section, a reply to the ''Boot space'' thread.

Any ideas how to solve these issues? Any help highly appreciated. Thank you!

Magic - I've just received an e-mail saying that there is a reply to this post, so it suddenly seems to work

(or was it an Admin person who has helped...?)

For 3) I found this:
2. Any registered user with less than one post will have to have their posts approved by a moderator before becoming visible. The moderators are made aware of posts requiring approval but please be patient as we all have real jobs too.
