Do you think a complety with-black-rims-and-NOS-and new-dashboard-and-elisetaillights-should-have-been-Old-School-Elan is more beautifull?

Well if you even have the courage to compare those 2 looks, no need to keep this argument going on, its pointless. I ll keep mine, and you go for the Kia like "Race-Elan" (?!?!?) you posted and we both be happy!

now that's why I prompted the picture -- I was kicking this idea around with Brian 5 years ago  but I didn't have the time and resources to find someone talented enough (Kuching  ) to make me one . . .

I really jumped out of my chair of joy when I saw that photoshop picture!

In the few minutes between my 2 posts, I allready Emailed the picture to Greg, talked to the phone with him and we agreed to discuss to build it. Last year I missed Dony because of the rear panel delay. Monday morning will see if I can make it and build this piece of art before this years Dony, without any chance to miss it.

Its easy to put it on Photoshop but have to see if the elise defuser (diffuser? sp?) CAN really WORK on the Elan. The rear bumber has a built angle beneath that forces the air flowing below to create downforce and so by destroying the rear bumber to install the defuser could have the opposite results (also the elan is not flat beneath). Will check thoroughly on Monday. Greg told me that if I am willing to pay for the materials and if we conclude it can really work then he is doing it as a present to me within 2 weeks time.

Trust my Word!

I AM NOT SELLING SH4RK PERIOD!

Where is stated by me that any kind of the elans, the kia or yours is going to be my way? Image

In the opposite... I have written pretty clear, that one have to like such a style. A beautiful vision always is born in the eyes of the viewer. So everyone the things he like, as you said in the last sentence.

For this is not the first time, it seems to me, that you have a problem not to have the fastest elan on earth... for which reason ever, I can´t comprehend your continuous posts in this way. Image

If I´m not right, sorry for the words...and be happy

Heh? what the hell does Rear panel look, lights, and 4 x exhausts (thats what the picture you posted was about) have to do with speed?

I have no problem at all, on the contrary I have never mentioned in any of my posts that "I have the fastest Elan on earth", other ppl do. I have done countless streetracing with supercars (M3s, STis, EVOs, Porches, Lotus, Maseratis) and I ve never ever posted once about it or bragged about it......

"Continous posts in this way" ??? !!! I am just saying what I am doing, what do you want me to do instead? Dynorun 400Hp and say I did 170??? Or perhaps post a Video while parking the Elan?

I stop it here, I only said the look of that Elan posted by Don Hasi is awfull IMO, and now "I have a problem not to have the fastest Elan on earth"..... I dont need this arguement neither does LEC.

Well, 4x exhausts on a non-turbo=1 pipe per cylinder!

Image

It's all about tha flow fo shizzle!!

That center exit is an interesting idea, but I think it would look better without the diffuser (which I seriously doubt would have any useful benefit on our cars?). Personally I have had a few people comment they really like the stock/screen setup. I think it would look better if both were kept...

When I look at the single exhaust pic of Brian-MDB I was thinking of some work Brabus of Germany have done to a Smart....( Ahhhhhrg). The positive side of that pic is that it gets rid of the wobbly bit of the rear bumper (nearly underneath the car) which comes with the classic rear bumper

If double piped: then like Audi's 1.8T or 3.0's? :smt040

I am kind of in a hurry so this won't be the most elegant thing I've ever written, but I hope the point is made.

Back when Dave-M was going for a MAX-turbo and I dynoe'd 275, I had "my" shop make a complete exhaust for him to help him achieve his goals. I've never seen anyone on this board be a braggart or selfish in their knowledge-sharing.

I kind of get the feeling that Costa's shop is dragging him along & he is too polite to say "no." I for one am interested in any modification someone makes, both to see what is possible & to learn.

I have never felt put-down by another person on here except of course for good old Bill L.

Thank God we all are different or this would be a pretty boring place. As we all have the same car we better do something different with them!

Just an update, I am not sure what the heck is that guys problem (Bill L) but he is just as cranky as ever.

He has taken his phone number off his site and now he makes you jump through a ton of hoops just to place an order or to comunicate with him, it has been three weeks since I sent a money order and still no items, I guess he needed my money more than I did.

Anyways, I do not like the second picture posting of the exhaust idea,I like the first one a lot better :D

Costas, glad you are back and we are ready and excited to see what you do next :D
