The option of moving a friends car, or simply driving through his tent wasn't a hard choice to make.
The passenger window is still wedged in with cardboard & twigs at this point, a temporary fix that lasted a 60 mile journey and is still holding after 6 days!

Nick Walker has commented several times that his Elan will fit inside their tent. I don't think he has actually parked it in there yet though.

Unfortunately the trunk (boot) is just a bit too short to hold our easy up canopy. Having one at events would be nice in the hot Virginia sun.
Camping would be easy in an Elan. There is a lot of room in the trunk, behind the seats, passenger's foot well & hood storage area.

I have frequently been off for a weeks camping in the Elan, with two people and full kit.
It is more than possible and I love the freedom of it!
Don't think I could fit a garage tent though...

Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

I have a tent and an Elan just like that. I must try that trick some time. Might amuse a few people!
Thanks,
Neil.
