Steve, extreme close-up. I don't know what part that is, but it looks like it must be cold out.

I wasn't aware of any "cast" parts on the M100. Is this on a Fed car? A wider picture might be needed.

I'd guess at a brake servo cyclinder, (The bit where the reservoir sits)

It's the forward face of the gear selector mechanism bolted to the top of the gearbox, the lower edge is towards the right of the photo.

Never one to be fooled, are you? I know it isn't technically a part, but nice catch!

The little die cast model (which I painted Calypso Red using my touch-up paint) got nearly as many comments as the car itself at this weekend's Renaissance Euro Fest show in Ridgeland Mississippi. By the way, the Elan REALLY got a lot of attention from the spectators at the show.

BTW, Euro Fest organizers (if you're reading this -- yeah, right!), it's not really a fair fight putting all open top cars 1986-present in the same category for judging. I don't think I stood much of a chance against the Ferrari F430 convertible that won that class! Specially since Ferrari of Atlanta was one of the sponsors of the show.
