Techlectic and I met up for coffee, a nice drive and a wonderful day enjoying the company of some wonderful people and beautiful cars at the annual San Diego British Car Day. Here are a few photos of our Elans. Thanks for posting these pics Tigerdog. Nicely captured the treasure trove of British cars and the typical October weather in San Diego. I think your machine might have won for the Lotus group had you had your placard up. We had a chance to have 4 Elans there, with Ed Miller as a maybe and the owner of a red M100 who elected to bring his early series Elan instead.

Seems rather odd that there wasn't an Esprit there.
The yellow Europa has less than 4k miles on it. I was shocked to find that it's is a wonderful fit for someone 6'1".
I had just extracted myself from the Super 7 next to it, where my knees were forced against the steering wheel such as to make driving nearly impossible.
TVRs were the featured marque, but they were not very well represented with only a few Griffiths, all of which had at least some significant cosmetic issues. No Tasmin 280i or 350i to be seen, dang it.
MG and Austin Healy and Austin were very well represented.
