Yeah sure is. She is a beauty. The last Lotus I had was back in the 70s. This is just so much better.

Thank you. It is the McLaren sports car that prompted the colour. It really pops in the sun light and sparkles at night driving through the city.

I shall have a go and see what I can do. It’s when I resize the quality seems to go.

You could always use tinypic so one can click on the picture and see it full-size :-)

Mine has a custom made carbon fibre lid for the roof compartment and a carbon fibre rear spoiler, twin stainless exhaust side pipes, 16”x 6” Wolfrace wheels and uprated callipers..Internally the seats and door panels have been leather dyed grey with orange panel strips. Alarm and tracker have been installed recently.

So if its not your one that was on Ebay a couple of weeks ago then there must be 2 Elans in volcano orange with the same mods then?, i wonder who it was that modified the 2 cars, had to be the same person surely with it being identical to the ebay one from a couple of weeks ago?, The link to it that Rambo posted on the 6th of June on the 'All cars on Ebay' thread is no longer showing but you can see the ad here... https://picclick.co.uk/Custom-Lotus-Ela ... 53557.html ,click
on the link to the ebay ad and its showing as the other one being in Lewes.

Better pictures here which show the registration..... https://modified-autos.com/listings/lot ... -road-car/ , i could be wrong but it looks very similar to the registration in the picture above

This is the link to Rambos post about it, 16 posts down.

There is another possibility.... Could it be that some scammer got the pictures from the time it was advertised before, (when Trev bought it)
and then listed it on ebay hoping to swindle some unfortunate buyer?. I doubt very much there are 2 identical cars, the pictures above have to be the same
car that was on ebay 2 weeks ago. :?:

Def mine, as I said I bought it in Lewes last year. I have informed eBay and modified-autos so waiting to hear from them.

The Ebay ad from 2018 when Trev bought it looks to have been kept by a scammer and the details used at a later date, hence the ad for it that Rambo saw
2 weeks ago (now showing as removed on ebay). I have seen this happen a few times with Elises lately, cars being posted ridiculously cheap which had previously been sold on Ebay. They are usually quite quick at removing them, and thats when you get the 'Item cant be found message' or 'We looked everywhere', as in Rambo's link. It appears this is what has happened with Trevs car, unless someone has another explanation. :?:

The last "alleged" seller on EBay had zero feedback ie a new seller. I always find it odd that a new sellers first listing is for ££££££. Would you buy from someone with no hustory ?

Very strange :?

Personally I wouldn’t buy a vehicle on eBay especially when they ask for a deposit up front before you even see the car. I bought this Elan from a private add with a series of correspondence with photographs returned of what I asked for. No money exchanged until I saw it tested it and checked all documentation. I was also able to tax it and change from the owner to myself. I and my wife met him and his wife at their very nice home. I’m a bit miffed some one is using the photographs of my car for their own use. I am still awaiting a reply from the sites and have informed the police over here in N Ireland. I am not planning on selling this car as my wife and I really love it. Glad that I have joined LEC it has been a good experience so far so thank you all.
