Glad you’re out and about in the great weather we’ve been having.

I haven’t heard of M100 TWO since a Club Lotus meeting in Coupar Angus in 2015 when I was talking to the chap who’d just bought it from Alan Head. I hope it’s getting some use.

That's John from Southampton's S2 (M100 S2) The only one in the world in Cranberry red with S2 cranberry seats to match .

Both John and Alan looked after that car well

Perhaps we should have a meet up in Perthshire sometime soon ? I'm sure I could get me up and John down. And all those others (Fifers) in between

Yes, the interior needed quite a bit of care and attention as well as a few replacement plastic trims. All in hand. It will be much better after hibernation. Since I "cleared the memory" as suggested here, I have had no reoccurrance of stutter but the high idle when warming up is still there. Tomorrow the CTS is getting replaced, we'll see if that sorts it permanently.
Sandy's car looks great and runs smoothly.
YES a get together in Perthshire should be organised, I am sure we could find a good location, best be before border controls come into effect!

Does your idle speed settle down when the engine has warmed up ? Should be ~950 rpm

PS Sandy's car has had a lot of very good care, particularly by its previous owner (Alan Head) who polished it and detailed it to death. He also removed the gearbox and replaced quite a few parts. I'll sed if I can find the thread as Alan dud a meticulous and detailed write up

Does your idle speed settle down when the engine has warmed up ? Should be ~950 rpm

The car starts well, goes to 1800 - 2000 rpm but holds onto this high tickover for at least a mile before settling down to a 1000, far too long. After driving 5 miles to Sandy's, car sat for an hour then started up and ran perfectly.
Have read the topic you mentioned, today gets new CTS timing set and probed for any vacuum leaks. We'll see after that
