I was just looking at some French Lotus website and saw this picture of an M100 undergoing some pretty rigorous testing. Funnily enough that is a bit what mine looked like the other week when all the roads were flooded.

Page 115 of Mark Hughes' excellent book: wet-weather test on prototype 501 at Milbrook - technicians shrouded in bin-liners.

Talking of Millbrook, I’ve got a MAN Star 461 truck carrying a groundstation that’s due to do a whole host of trials at Millbrook. The one that really sorts them out is the Belgian Pavé, but if the Elan’s done it, which we know it has, my 6X6 Polish truck should be OK! Despite having to test at 30MPH over it!

Unfortunately not - I get to witness and pray like buggery that it stays in one piece.
Luckily we get to dummy load the mission equipment in the cabin on the back and we fit a series of accelerometers to measure the mountings etc.
My other job as PM (programme manager - not prime min...is to explain why it fails, if it does!
