Ive just taken out classic car insurance on my Elan S2 with Lancaster (Zurich Classic to be exact) and I wondered how much would I save if I was to pay for the Lotus drivers club membership?
Considering my insurance is at £98 per month fully comp lol!!!

Are you kidding ?? That's nearly £1200 a year. You must be able to get a better deal than that ? Have you tried limiting the mileage to 3000, 4500 or 6000 miles ??
Have you tried Equity Red Star (RH Specialist Insurance Division - 01277 206912) ? I've got mine for £230 a year for 5000 miles, fully comp. and GVS of £9500
Footman James may also worth be considering although I moved from them last year after 3 years when they put up their renewal premiums substantially

Thing is im only just 21 years old and with one years no claims no no insurance is anything like cheap for me. My insurance on a Proton Satria GTI 1.8 was nearly £175 a month! I have limited my milage to 10,000 as it is my everyday car and most wont do assured value on her either as its 12 years old where most seem to prefer 15 years old.
£98 a month is the cheapest my insurance has ever been lol.

yes all S2's are ltd edition numbers 001 to 800......
there were about 4000~4500 SE's
and 80 or so NA
