Struggling to get a decent quote

Renewal time has just come up, and I'm struggling to get a decent renewal price. Even with a 5k miles limit (garaged, cat 1 alarm etc), it's coming in around £400, which I'm not particularly impressed with. Tried Henderson Taylor, REIS, waiting for a call back from 2gether who seem to get good reports to see what they can do. Was hoping what with the car being over 20 years old and not particularly valuable I'd be down sub £300.

Any other suggestions for people to try? It's my only car (albeit not used daily) which rules out quite a few of the classic/specialists.

I compared Meerkats and ended up pointing at Sureterm - for 300 miles/annum cost me £129.87 earlier today - and eventually I'll get a free Meerkat toy which are fetching £40 on eBay

I used Adrian Flux, 7000/per annum only £248.
My previous renewal quote was £800 that was with First Quote, really cheap first year, 2nd year shot up. customer service from them is s**t wouldn't recommend them at all unless of course if you like spending over 40 mins on the phone wanting to talk to someone!!

Thanks for the pointer at Sureterm. They've come in quite well, although their attitude/knowledge of non-standard cars bothers me slightly (have got everest fitted at the moment and may well change the suspension this year). However at £100 less than the next best quote that may still be what I do.

I've just renewed mine this morning with Classic-line and its gone up from £220 to £244 which is not too bad so I've stuck with them

just renewed with competition car insurance £356 but it inc driving to the office occasionally, all the mods, value of £10,000, 6 track days (inc Spa and any french ones that LOT do), 7500 miles.
