CAR TAXES IN UK TO INCREASE
Don't taxes like this piss-off those of you in the UK to no end?

Keeping a residence in FL while working in GA allows me to avoid the GA advelorem tax of several hundred dollars per car, per annum. That is nothing more than saying: since you can afford nice cars, you have more money to fork over, and we want it. It is not like you are using government resources to a greater degree, but you are forced to pay more for the same services. If that is the yardstick they might as well check your income when buying dinner, a loaf of bread, eggs or a gallon of milk... and charge you according to your ability to pay.
