I'm surprised you all didn't jump all over this thread:

It really works. Here's proof!

Edit: dang, why aren't these showing up inline?
What do you get when you combine GM, Lotus, and Mercury Marine? One hell of an inboard!

I'm so depressed right now because my Elise is crippled. Here's the story:

I let my friend drive the Elise last night, we were out joyriding. He basically took a turn going too fast and we hopped a median curb and then the car shot to the right and hopped a sidewalk curb as well. Suffice to say there is significant damage to the car, it wouldn't start last night.

Not suprising that "nugg_dogg" voted "no" on on that thread....maybe if he had been driving an M100......

You know, I gotta believe that most Elise owners are ok folks. Especially if they were driven to buy LOTUS as opposed to Elise. They know what Lotus stands for and what its like to own the brand. Its never a good thing when a Lotus goes down.

On the other hand, if a Lotus were to honourably sacrifice itself with PhlypSide in the driver's seat............

Perhaps if we all chip in a couple of bucks he will have enough to buy a really tatty Elite/Eclat!

It will be heaven for him - RWD, and a Lotus!

His mates would laugh him off the parking lot, and being such a sensitive sole, he'd blast off down the road, trying to do a donut, and only succeed in drifting into the path of an 18-wheeler......

Oh, sorry, must wake up, I've been having a wonderful dream......

.....the only downside is one less Lotus :( .
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Does Proton make a RWD model? It would be perfect for his posse.

I've suggested he close the poll as there haven't been any votes recently.

Can anyone lay their hands on any (very) lengthy articles on why first past the post (we win) is better than proportional representation (used as an excuse by weak parties to justify why they didn't win). It would be funny to see him disect it line by line.

Third warning to be nice from the mod over there. I think its time, certainly for me, to lay low now. The point's been made (more strongly by some perhaps......ahem  ). I sent a message to the prime mod and apologized for letting it get out of hand from time to time. Sent me a nice message back. They do seem to be very good folks over there.

Except for Phallus of course...............I mean Phyllis...........I mean Phlyp.

Ok, I really am done with Phlyppie Phallus Phondler over there. Point's been made I think and there's no point in repeating myself for his benefit. What an ASS!

Geoff, sorry I misquoted you. I was reading posts quickly and thought I saw you agree with Phylippe that the M100 was a fluke. You musta thought I'd lost my sanity and that Phallus had inPHected me with his Phoolishness or something. Very sorry!
