Does anyone have any experience with the new europa, id pretty much ignored it when it was released as a synical attempt to squeeze money out of an old platform, but as a used buy they seem pretty tempting. Ive driven an elise briefly and just didnt fit and they are too harsh for me on a daily basis and thought the europa would make a good stepping stone towards the evora. As there were fewer than 500 made theyre hard to find localy so ive got no idea what theyre like, can anyone tell me how they compare to the elise or even the elan. or does someone have one near by so i can have a go.... if you dont ask, lol.

In think they're basically the Vauxhall VX220 with a different body and engine aren't they? If so you could probably get a good idea of how good they are by driving a couple of them. In Club Lotus News there was an article about a Swedish (I think) chap who got one and reckoned it was way better than an better than an Elise ride-wise, and better than an Evora handling- and space- wise (because it doesn't have back seats, it has a huge boot).

its based on the vx220 platform but longer, with lower sills and a higher roof. From what ive read its a softer car, the engine is the same but the gearbox is a 6 speed. I suppose the VX220 would be a good place to start if i cant try an europa.
i have to say im rather taken with these, with the luxuary touring pack pictured and the
thorney tuning pack in chrome orange, black wheels, and miltec exhaust is getting me all flustered.

I like the Europa very much its much easier to get in and out of than the Elise and not such a harsh ride
I think they very underrated and I fancy one myself
I used to own an Elise but it was very impractical and a very harsh ride ,I think the Europa would be a much better choice
I hope you find a good one soon
