Big apology to the red elan driver who I nearly hit having a "moment" in my land rover today near willoughby in Northamptonshire. I drive that road daily without any problems but the one time my favourite sports car is in range I cock it up and launch two tons of steel at it. Shook me up I hope the elan driver was not too alarmed.
Currently Elan-less and on the lookout for a good one.

I admire your willingness to make a public apology to a total stranger. If you find yourself owning an Elan in the future, I'm sure you'll fit in here on LEC. Just watch for the low cars when you're perched on high in the Landie!
