Hurricane Helene Sept 2024

Postby Fredjohn » Mon 30.09.2024, 08:19

I hope John C is OK.
This devastating hurricane has swept through the Carolinas with horrendous power, destroying towns and cities with a large loss of life. And hundreds of people are still unaccounted for.
Makes our little cars seem somewhat irrelevant really.

I emailed John at the week end to see how he was faring, but I’ve had no reply as yet

Looking at the news reports, the ‘eye’ of the hurricane seems to have passed a bit to the west of John, so here’s hoping he’s OK.

At this time there is no cell service or land line let alone electric.
I have sent a message to the house but have not heard back yet.
Can call the house but does not go through.
Will keep you posted.
