Club Lotus Lakes 35

Just had fantastic weekend near Keswick at Borrowdale Hotel for Club Lotus Lakes 35. Amazing weather: first time in years we've had sun sun sun.Saturday saw us all drive to Alston for a trip on the South Tynedale Railway. The journey from Keswick on the A66 and A686 (and back) was pure Lotus territory. Every bit as good as the Cat & Fiddle route. And the views towards the lakes as you dropped off the Pennines coming back was stunning. But the driving was better so didn't stop for the photo shoot.

But did manage an M100 line up in front of our hotel, incl the NMY mentioned in "Spotted" yesterday. Mine is the other NMY.

BIG PS. BCN's (acknowledgement to Deeaitch too) short shift is brilliant. Completely changes the feel of the car for the better: now done over 300 miles, incl above route, with loads of changes. Love it, get one if you can!!

A few more pictures from the weekend.

The posh house is Hutton in the Forest, very close to J41 of M6. Delightful property and well worth a visit. The hotel is in Borrowdale between Keswick and Rossthwaite on the B5289. We will be there again next year, so if anyone wants to come along, let me know and I'll pass it on to the organisers (CL NW).

Very nice, beautiful part of the country.

Was up there a few years ago with a crazy ex, won't mention what happened in the woods.
