Really pleased as I spent 2hrs removing and fixing the reverse light switch (broken wire on switch itself), only to find it's not part of the MOT!!
The brake meter the garage had was faulty and was not reading on the one side, but readings on the other side were F345 R85 H'brake 150. He still passed it as he could see all the brakes were new and was happy. !!!!! No I'm not saying who or where! I know the rear is a bit low and not strictly in balance with the front brakes, but a bit of bleeding should resolve that. The car does stop rapidly (is that an oxymoron?) from 60mph under emergency braking in a dead straight line, so I have full confidence in my brakes. Would the machine have worked if I had reversed on to measure the other side?
The hazard lights only work if I indicate left or right (ign. on or off). I am sure this is not a design feature and would welcome thoughts on why this is the case: did read something about this somewhere, but can't find it.
Exhaust CO emissions were exactly 3% and HC 184, so well within tolerance.
Off to Preston next weekend to do a Coast to Coast (UK style) from Morecombe to Scarborough with CLNW: dinner at the end at Ayton Lodge Hotel. Let's hope weather is good.
