Vin Question

Postby Grosbard » Wed 23.06.2021, 00:37

Question for the group: what does the 9th digit in the VIN number represent? I'm referring to the digit between the Safety Equipment digit and the Date digit. So it's between the "B" and the "M" on most Federal Elans. Is it just a checksum digit? WikiLEC has no info on this digit. Thanks for your help!

Cheers,
Grosbard
