Well thats the lowering kit arrived, eibach springs fro Bilstein dampers. After a fast road 4 wheel geo set up by Kenny Broon rally cars i'll be taking Rambo out to scare him.

Bad news is. I bought one for my sister about 7 years ago. As it is now a rotten piece of junk as she keeps it outside. She now needs a new one. 2011 or newer.

If anyone has a good example to sell please let me know.

I wish that she would chose a different car. but it's not going to happen. If you have one to sell or can offer her help to buy one near you please let me know.

I've been quoted £390 for full professional waxoyl, drilling and filling cavities etc so think that is next big job. Mine is 7 yrs old, 71000M and not a spot of rust. The one previous lady owner (cliche but true) seemed to take care of it. Mine is garaged and parked level, apparently if parked on 10 degree slope if drain plugs blocked, the sills fill up with water like the dive tanks on a submarine.

well with the incessant rain we have had past few weeks I'm glad of the hard top. The only waterfall inside comes from the Stone Roses on the 6 speaker Bose system.

Lotus need to build a S3 Elan thats cheaper than an Elise, practical for joe public, and reliable. Others have borrowed the Elise platform, why not the other way about.

Muley if your reading, did 60 miles in new 2.0 Sport, very fast and pretty stiff with Billies though not too uncomfortable for me. Their ex race driver then told me to thrash a 1.5 sport. Engines needs too much revving but on softer suspension rolled through the bends (not too much) without any loss of grip. The pro driver reckoned it was the most Chapmanesque re baby élan. I think compromise is the 2.0 with the softer suspension. Gunning the 1.5 at 5-7000rpm 4th gear for 30 miles was fun but tiring and computer was reading 12mpg, so I'd take the 2.0 torque and use the gears anyday.

Always liked fast fords and had a couple in the past. If the new RS is as good as the hype I don't think I'll be disappointed?
If Lotus decide to produce an Elan S3 As described above, I'd be all over it.
