Just got off the phone with the above "Lotus" supplier, garage or whatever you'd like to cal them. I wanted to have them look at my car regarding some interior work since they show on there web site that this is one of there services. I was told "We only work on Lotus's, we don't work on Elan's because Lotus's don't have convertable tops." Very interesting, I guess there heads have gotten so big they don't consider front wheel drive cars with a "LOTUS" name on them true Lotus's
So I guess my suggestion would be please don't contact them at any cost if you live in the US or specifically Southern California even if you own another car they consider a real Lotus.

I would seriously consider making another call, asking to speak to the manager, and then after recounting your last conversation, telling him that you are going to send your story to Club Lotus News.
Do they think that the removeable roof from the Elise ISN'T convertable? What about the original Elan?
What a bunch of complete tossers!

Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...!
