I'm looking at an Elan on Autotrader and the guy who's selling it told me he has it serviced at Nick Whales Cars. He said that they are more expensive than Paul Matty Cars but their service is better.
I have no idea about this - this will be be my first elan - any thoughts are very welcome!
Thanks Guys,
Shaun

When it comes to Elans NW may well be more expensive but PM is where I would take my car to be serviced.

When I was considering A6 LAN (see UK Elans For Sale thread about this) I enquired at both NW and PM about checking the car out before I purchased it....
In all fairness to Paul Matty - he wasn't there at the time and I've spoken to him in the past about Elans - he's very keen, polite and passionate about something he really loves. Likewise, I've had friends talk to him about Esprits and again he's more than happy to help...
This day, however, he wasn't there and I got to talk to John. My advice is don't talk to him when it's lunchtime and he's got a sandwich in his hand! Alas, he wanted to get rid of me as soon as he could (how could the thought of Tuna & Sweetcorn be a more attractive prospect than me!!)....
I know John Willis at Nick Whale from all the years ago when I had an Elan and used to take it to Ryland, where I believe Nick Whale was a director before going independent. He wasn't there when I rang but his colleague was more than happy to help me with my enquiry, sandwich or not!!
For service (customer service, not cars) I'd got for NW!
