Hi Does any one know there are alternative souce the Oil cooler ?

SJ's do a replacement for about £200 if I remember correctly.

The problem is SJ has sommer holiday now !
So, I have to wait 2 weeks before I can order it !
How easy to replace the Oil Cooler ?
Any instruction (setp by setp ) ?

Yasou, Dave (DeeAitch) has had an oil cooler fail (see towards the end of this thread). He bypassed it as a temporary fix and he might even have got round to replacing it now.

I know it might be a bit 'off topic' and i dont want to hijack Yasou's thread, but as an option, is it possible to cut the two pipes attached to the engine, just before the obscure fittings leaving bare steel ends.
Then any suitable diameter rubber/stainless braided pipe (of the correct material specification) can be attached by jubilee clips.
You can choose whatever fitting on the other end you need to fit whatever oil coiler you can source.
Presumably any 13-row cooler will do the job if it can be physically mounted????

The facyory cooler is made by Setrab. Google them and you should find a few dealers near you.

OK 13 row and Banjo bolts M16x1,5p I is that correct ?
Maybe like this one can fit : SET50-113-7612 13 row 50mm depth Length 210mm hight 99mm ?
I will try local shop !

It is a bog standard one with the mountings cut-off and a couple of brackets welded to it.
the hardest part of getting it out is the steel bolts in the aluminium rivnuts(?) the new one from SJ just has holes and no nuts.
