What radiator would you recommend?

Having got the old radiator out, I need to start thinking about what to replace it with.
There's a second hand one on eBay at about £70
A 2 core 38mm copper for about £170 and a variety of aluminium at around £230-250

Anybody got any thoughts/recommendations please?, I probably dont fancy 2nd hand, as I never want to replace one ever again!

Hi David,

Sorry to hear of your problems with the frame in your other thread - unfortunately, I can't help with a replacement for that - but it would have to be pretty bad to be unrepairable with some welding (It doesn't ever get seen, so doesn't need to be too pretty).

As far as a radiator goes, I can't recommend Coolex highly enough - great products at a (LEC friendly) price.

I agree with Dave, Coolexperts are where I would go.

However, whilst not ideal it may be worth going to Douglas Valley Breakers for a quote on a used radiator panel and if the figure they quote is good ask them for a decent radiator too, it's a risk with used radiators but it may allow you some breathing space

Whilst I hear your cry of "I never want to change one again", and therefore a new item is best for you......

.....should you find that your budget is being spent on things you wern't expecting, I can offer you the radiator which I took out of my car earlier this year.

From the discolouring on the fins I believe it may have a slight weep (but I had been using it like that) - it won't last for ever ('cos they never do), but I will let it go for the same price that I charge for most things if it helps to get you back on the road (bugger all!).
