After the timing belt and water pump job. Want the long life, not the old style fluorescent green. I flushed out the system 6 or 7 times, the last 3 with distilled water, so there is no trace of old antifreeze. Some of my choices are, Zerex G05 which I have a case at home, Pentosin as listed here:
http://www.pentosin.net/f_antifreeze.asp and I'd probably get the PENTOFROST A2 green as it listed for most Asian cars 1990 and up, or Hyundai longlife which is the same as the Pentosin. Or some other stuff that is suggested?

4Life advanced coolant. It's great, I've used it for ages. It has a 'fitted' life of 10 years and protects hoses. You use it neat. £20 / 5 litres.
Demon Tweeks /MGOC sell it or try ebay. Excellent stuff.

Just don't go for the red (OAT) stuff.
Go for the old style ethylene glycol (blue/green)

No, I haven't Phil. I can't load the link on this tablet on this tablet some reason ???
But I do know that the OAT stuff doesn't go well with our 25 year old engines and ancillaries
Out of interest, what does the video say ?

Video is another of 1kenobitoby's excellent Youtube posts. He's researched it - both comply with BS 6580.2010 which specifies max permissible corrosion rates for various metals and he's been on to Hethel who have tested both and have no reason to advise dealers not to use OAT. That said, I'll continue to use the blue stuff as I've got a couple of 5l containers of undiluted and more important... I've got a Pacific Blue Elan and blue in the header tank looks prettier...

And I believe, as an ex analytical chemist, that ethylene glycol (EG) is much better for 25year old metal than organic acid technology (OAT). So I will still use the blue stuff, despite having a yellow and black M100. It does the job and still looks pretty

Just because they changed the color doesn't make it any more compatible with 1990s gaskets and aluminum castings.
Just ask GM why they replaced almost all of the 350 engine intake manifold gaskets well into the early 2000 models. It was the antifreeze that ate the manifolds and gaskets.
I don't get it... Why not stay with what was originally used and what they designed the car around? Just to save having to change the antifreeze every now and then?
Sometimes, new doesn't mean better.
I loved it when Mobil came out with mobil-1. All the MG DIYers decided it was the wonder oil and even though it was advertised to be better than 20W50, it trashed a lot of engines since the old design oil pumps needed a more viscus oil to build any oil pressure.
Just my $0.02, but I rebuilt a lot of MG engines back then and loved the extra income.
