A bit more in keeping with the modern age and it can also pair with an android phone app that can read engine parameters. It won't graph them but I gather that the data can be imported into Excel if you want graphs...
i have the hardware int he box to make another 3... just need the printer working. if you keep talking about bluetooth alternatives ill never shift this stock

Hi Tuga, I dropped you a msg a few days ago but maybe it didn't go through. I'd be interested in 1 of your cables if you ever get your 3D printer working or find another suitable box. Please can you save 1 for me?
i did get your email and replied to it. seems like my reply was lost somehow
the bottom line is. i have a friend who has a working printer, i will be buying filament and comissioning the printing of the boxes next week. im not keen on releasing my STL files, so it has to be self contained, but i will be posting somehwer that i have some cables made up when that happens.

Thanks Tuga, Sorry, I couldn't find the email. Really appreciate it if you would save a cable for me. I don't know anywhere here in Bahrain that has a 3D printer, so the STL file would be no use to me. Hope you manage to get your printer fixed

Hi all
Just an update on this seemingly never-ending saga!
Temp sensor - replaced and not much change - do I sense its running a bit better though....
On to the ECU.
Will let you know...
Probably less hassle to buy another one - but can't let these things die can you?

i got cables made. and sold 2 so far. Wayne's gone silent since then. so. the cable i was keeping asside for him is now on ebay.
as far as ECU. i have mentioned this before elsehwere.
finding someone wiht the same car locally and swapping it is an option. ive no recollection of ever hearing about a 100% confirmed ECU failure, this is the main reason why in my opinion. buying a new one is something to be considered after an extensive amount of diagnosis is done.
now. the folowing statement is both honest advise and a blunt sales pitch at the same time.
if you connect the car to the computer. you can see if its eading relevant data (and theres some logs of healthy engines already scattered on the forum, i can generate another one as well) if it read garbage data across multiple sensors. your ecu is likely to be knackered. or if it fails to read at all.
i would be tempted to say. if the CEL light is on with ignition on and engine off. i think the ECU should connect.
and again. if you have someone else locally, with a runnign car. you can plug it to their car to confirm your laptop is setup correctly.
all the cables i send are tested on my car exactly in the way i showed int he facebook post a few weeks ago. im happy to plug my computer to your car. but usually the provlem with that offer is the fact im in Durham and the folk in this region that i end up helping usually come to me via the NELOC club long before they make themselfs known in LEC
