Cam belt replacement parts

Can anyone recommend a supplier for parts? I've just acquired my first M100and want to play safe and change the cam belt, tensioners etc.

I think you can get the belts from Camskill in the UK and you could ask them about the pulleys as well but I think you'll have to get them from Rock Auto.

Use the Rock Auto Isuzu Impulse (Turbo) listing for the engine parts: Cam Timing Belt, Idler, Tensioner, Water Pump are a good starting point.

The discount code 119844263686183 expires on Jan 6 and they will issue a new one before that.

For simplicity I bought the "DAYCO Part # WP169K1A" kit

Also, you only need one other person to join in to make the P&P significantly cheaper. Three or more people gives only a marginal saving.

If you don't mind doing it piece by piece, looking at the US site, you can save $30.00 by getting a 41053 water pump, 1261017 Timing Belt and 84103 Tensioner / idler kit. Even more if you look at the 95169k1 Dayco kit for the belt and widgets and then get the water pump.

No reason to pay any more than necessary. All of the above are from good, reliable suppliers.

Dayco kit 95169K1 is the timing belt, idler and tensioner. If that is all you plan to do then that is all you need. Most people replace the water pump at the same time as you need to do the same amount of work to get to it as it you need to get to the timing belt. It shouldn't add much of nothing to the total labour charge to get it replaced at the same time.

The other belts are usually replaced as needed and don't require tearing the apart the r/s wheel arch to replace them. If your belts are squealing, then replace them too otherwise, it is your decision what extra maintenance you want to get done.

Not a water pump belt, a WATER PUMP.

The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

I suggested Dayco kit 95169K1 @ £23.38 + water pump 41053 @ £18.49 = £41.87 everyone else pushed Kit DAYCO Part # WP169K1A £64.96 which is the same belt parts but includes the water pump.

You really should let your mechanic TELL you what they want you to get so you get the correct parts the first time.

£23.00 extra just to avoid ordering two items instead of one? It sounds like Stef doesn't want to replace the water pump, so she will spend £23.38 for the timing (cam) belt "kit" and that is all she needs. If she wants to replace the water pump, then order the cheap Dayco kit + the GATES water pump and still save a lot. It really can't be made more simple, just more expensive.
