Hi Can you help, I have recently been experiencing missfiring problems under load, so have replaced the ignition leads this has helped but i still need to take her for a spin on a long quiet road to confirm all is well. however I have noticed there is a vibrating sound coming out of the plastic cover on the CAS is this common or is something wrong going on in there?

As I understand it the bearings can go bad, the mechanism can hit.

does anybody know if bearings can be replaced? or is it a new unit? if so are these still available?

The bearings can be replaced. I think mine need to be done. I have a built up spare CAS that needs to go in. Then I can rebuild at my leisure for the swap.

just to update, I took the plastic cover off and the noise disappeared, on further inspection there is some scoring to the inside of the plastic shield, refitted it and so far its been good, my guess is it may be warped.
