Coolant leak - using fluoresceine tracing dye

I have searched the forum but can't find any previous mention of this. I hope I'm not duplicating.

Recently I watched a guy on Youtube filling the cooling system of an M100 with fluoresceine tracing dye to locate a coolant leak using a UV torch. It seems like an effective technique. However I'm a little concerned that the dye could have short or long term detremental effects. Has anybody used this procedure or is it something I should avoid?

Its a uv dye used in air conditioning recharge
Great for coolant and engine oil leak detection
You need a uv torch and glasses too
No harmful effects ive come across , although when you do find a coolant leak you tend to lose the coolant when repairing it anyway
Another way is to pressurise the system and look for leaks that way
