After years of trouble shooting (or at least thinking of troubleshooting...) i was able to fix my Airconditioning system in under a minute!
I vented some of the gas, estimated amount by educated guess, no balance involved, and presto! Ice cold airco again after years of a hot interior!
It turns out there was too much gas in it

almost blocking the compressor (screeching belt in agony whenever i turned it on)
Top tip from a fellow M100 driver Hans Mulder (thank you Hans!)

Glad you're riding cool
Did you recharge it with R12?

yes
However: There are suitable replacements for the R12 nowadays so this should not be a problem.
Better for the environment anyways!
