auxillary waterpump

Soo usually when you turn off at 3/4 on temperature gauge the auxillary temperature controlled electric coolant pump will kick in until car cools a bit. However if my car is hot I would normally sit and wait until it has cooled enough for fans to cut out and car to "settle." So I thought of a little mod, if anyone is interested I can post the photos and details.

I bought essentially a "negative switched relay with potentiometer built in" - think like turbo timer.

Now every time I turn off the aux pump cuts in for 60 seconds. (A mate who's way cleverer than me says that's when all the heat damage is at its worst) Seems like a fair simple bit of protection for engines that are now 30 years old....

Please respond if there's interest I'll post fuller details.
