Morning all,
Now in my third month of elan ownership the novelty value of getting wet every time it rains is wearing off. I need a few seals that I think I can locate from SJ Sports cars but I have a problem with the bar the holds the hood down on the lid.
On the passengers side it will not stay tight, after a few seconds it pops and to be honest, it is driving me nuts.
any advise more than welcome
Thanks

There is a write up in the repairs section
http://lotuselancentral.com/repair/seals.htm
describing how to add some extra seal to the top of the windscreen to counteract shrinkage of the existing seals. Is this what you mean or do you mean the back of the hood?

I mean the back of the hood, the two bars that hold the rear of the hood down. The passangers side never stays as it should resulting in the hood lifting at the back on that side
