Check the Wiki. The SPCDesign one is still available, I believe.

Hard top .....

Postby Bodie37 » Fri 23.05.2008, 09:01

Thanks for that ....

I do like the prototype .... not sure on the SPC ....

any feed back from anyone on the SPC? do you need to fit a relay to make the side windows drop a few mm's when you open the door ? or is it all standard.

It looks like the whole folding roof is removed, or is it just the cover panel?

I have the SPC roof and it's the dog's danglies.
No need to lower the windows and the soft top remains stowed in place with the cover panel removed.

And it's the only one you can actually buy, all of the others are one offs or never made production.

Mine is still unpainted and untrimmed and I wish it was carbon fibre, but I'm still really pleased I have it and it's used on a year round daily driver.

The one from Japan

Postby Bodie37 » Sun 25.05.2008, 06:22

Has anyone contacted the Japanese company who makes a roof?

I like the fact the SPC is already in use, just not keen on the "rear" look of it ? a bit tall and square?

Has anyone got a good "side on" photo. ...

I kwow the soft top leaks, does the hard top fix most of this ?

Thanks again for all the replies ...

Still have to sell the Caterham before I get back into a M100 ....

talk soon
Gavin K (AKA Bodie) ... yes I have a 2.8i Capri as well ,,, rare car in OZ

Hmmmm ..... Not bad

Postby Bodie37 » Sun 25.05.2008, 12:08

Hi Mike ...
Thanks for the pic .... I am happy now ... looks good .. better then I thought ..

Stopped rolling over the bonnet as it scratched it ....
Generally I still drive recklessly, running into 924's to pick up, learing around corners (scares kids) and cocking my browning 3 or four times before using it. Doyle has yet to find his RS2000, and CI5 has not been the same since Gordon (err sorry Cowley) passed away ...
Hmmmm 44 years old and still a Professionals nut ... people like me should be locked up or made Prime Minister ....

Hows life in NZ, I have not been for a few years ..
Been talking to a chap who has an M100 for sale on TRADEME nz ...Peter I think ...has a nice set of aftermarket wheels on the car ... he actually tolf me about this web site ..
talk soon

Geoff - you're a Moderator....so don't be going :offtopic: :smt018

(and you're confusing the shed of a track car with the one safely in the garage!)

 :smt023

(Well, as far as any vehicle of that age is original  )

I have the registration title from when i bought the car, many years ago. At that time I didn't realise it was a TV star!!!!!.

There has been a total re-build using a brand-new shell, and as many new parts as possible, but using anything i couldn't get new, from the original vehicle.

As such, it will retain its VIN & Registration - but as to whether you would call it 'The Car' is something which has been debated for many years :? :?

It's in the depths of the garage at the moment - but i will dig out some older pics when i get a chance (boxes full in the loft).......

The car has been off the road for many years - so waiting a bit longer wont hurt

I think i still have a couple of pics from when there was a re-union - Dolly, Escort, Capri all together

Err (trying to contain my excitement) .... you would not happen to know the person who owns the RS2000 would you .....
???? and just a thought .... are you interested in selling the dolly ....
Yes a complete professionals nut, who chased the Capri's a few years back but ended up with a dead end, ....
heard the Escort was found, and would love to know more about the car ...

hmmmm .... I appear to be straying from the path of getting back into a M100 ....

still ... gotta sell the Caterham ....
