roof fitters in the midlands area

Hi there,
I am looking at buying a 1990 Elan SE Turbo and the roof is in need of replacing. I have been quoted £499 from Trim-Tech for S2 hood, 5 seals and an S1 adaptor kit, which sounds ideal. Where and who can anyone recomend to fit it all? Does the adaptor kit do a good enough job? Also the current roof is missing the straps is the frame likely to have become mis shaped? Any advice much appreciated.

All fitters that I'm aware of (now Trim Tech no longer do it) are London-based.
Whereabouts in the Midlands are you based?

Sy, Don't forget that there are 2 trim techs in the midlands, not sure which is which, but the one that no longer does them (the OEM) is in Coventry.

Yes it was trim-tech in coventry that quoted £499 roof, seals + kit, have found The Hood Guys in Birmingham who would fit for £376 inc VAT, I am in Stratford-Upon-Avon, they seemed confident about doing the job although they don't get many Elans, and suggested that I may have to take it back to them for adjustments to get it as watertight as possible which they would not charge me for ! ! !
From reading through the forum history most people opt for the trim-tech pack, Would I end up with a signifcantly better result paying more money for all the original S1 seals (£500) and roof and straps made for possibly upwards of £750, so could end up paying £1200 > £1500 as oppose to the trim-tech route of £900.
Has anyone got the contact details for the other trim-tech in the Midlands?

I was quoted £250 fitting by PAUL NAHOULAKIAN at Drayton, Nr Abingdon, on 01235 528893 – he’d need the car for a day.

You could also get the hood fitted by Austins Trim at 7 Queensford Farm, Dorchester-on-Thames, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 7PH

Coventry Trim-Tech (previously Tickford) are the only ones that I know of...

Have found a Trim-Tec in Dudley Port, West Midlands, DY4 7PR: 01215 579977, spoke to Joe, will fit the trim-tech S2 roof kit for £150 inc VAT and garantee his work.
