Hood frame bolts

Postby Epsilon » Sat 02.05.2009, 16:07

This morning I wanted to take the car out for a trip and while taking the hood down it literally felt into my hands. What happened is that one of the frame bolts which probably was too old broke into two pieces. After investigation, another bolt is bent but fortunately there isn't any other damage (at least nothing I could notice).

I've tried several ones I had in stock but no single one fits, looks like the diameter is non-standard (or at least isn't common here on the continent).

The bolt's part number is A100B6222S for which SJS charges £7.35 each ! Are there cheaper replacements available ? I'd be shocked to have to pay £14.70 + shipping for just two bolts...

Thanks,
Ludovic

Ludovic,
This post gived the detail of the part that I used, I couldn't bring myself to pay £7 for a bolt either.
