Renovo Ultra Proofer

Postby londoner » Tue 19.01.2010, 22:41

Product Description
Renovo Ultra Proofer will cocoon your fabric soft-top in its own multi-purpose barrier. This recently improved formula is really easy to apply and will not only re-establish the original as new waterproof weather barrier on your canvas, double duck or mohair soft-top, it now contains UV protection and a mould/mildew growth inhibitor too!

Yup, works fine. Tends to need re-doing every 6 months or so, which reminds me that mine is well overdue.

Not sure but I have had the same bottle for 5 years and it has been done about a doen times and still some left so maybe the answer is 20, but then it would depend on how much you put on at any one time

I've cleaned, dyed & reproofed mine, & last night was the first time it's got wet since.
I was expecting to find raindrop size bits of water on the roof this morning, but instead it just looks wet all over.
What's other peoples experience of using the Ultra Proofer?

Not much point as the hood has a waterproof rubber membrane, unlike most fabric hoods from that time or before.

I've used the full kit on mine and it gives me about 2 applications of each and they last about a year

It was the full kit I used & it looks as if I've got about half the contents of each bottle left over for another application in 6 months or so, just disapointed with the waterproof effectiveness.
As in my previous post, I was expecting the water to "run off", or be standing in "globules", but instead the roof was just "soggy" all over. Does yours look "soggy" after rain or does it "run off"?

I've used it, twice, on the Morgan hood, in 7 years. I have a canvas/mohair hood.
Water beads and runs off.
Hardly use the roof, so it doesn't get reproofed very often... :)
