The best advise for those hoping to acquire Jamie's seals is to follow the thread and try to make them , If that is beyond then keep an eye out on Ebay . They sometimes show up from time to time. This is not Jamie's full time job , far from it .He is just a guy who made some in order to stop himself getting a wet knee and occasionally when he has time knocks up a set or 3.

Clemo the original thread has been effectively deleted due to missing photo-bucket imagery. If anyone knows what the A pillar rubber seal profile is from, then I'm sure many of us could create new seals. I'm about to start this winter having a go at all the seals on my car again, either by replacing with new Lotus sponge or by finding a suitable rubber alternative; I have a fully water-tight driving solution, but not an overnight in the rain one yet.

Most of the waterproofing for my car came from the FTO door seals, which are simple, neat and fully waterproof.

Hi Jammie, I've followed your seal exploits with great interest , I've owned an S2 ( Serial 771 ) from brand new and alleged by Bell and Colvilll to be last new M100 sold . Due to it's shocking water leaks it's been used predominantly in dry weather, so in some ways its failings have kept winter milage to a minimum. It's done many track days over the years and has a few track orientated mods, Chip, brakes and dampers, whenever I drive it I'm amazed by how good it is as a dynamic package, just ruined completely by the persistent and incurable water leaks !

I'd absolutely love to get onto your waiting list for a complete set of seals please ?

Regards,

Tim.

Sorry to hassle you too Jamie but I've spent the last week running a dehumidifier in my recently purchased S2 to pull out litres of water from the passenger carpet and underlay.. thankfully sill and footwell still in surprisingly good condition - so if you or anybody else has replacement or modified seals, it would be a gift from the Gods

thanks

Hello Jamie!

I think I saw a video on YouTube about your seals.

Are you still making kits?

If so, I would be interested in purchasing one.

Cheers!

Hi Rich, Sorry I dont have any spare hood seal kits ATM, I don't actually run a business making seals I'm afraid, only a small amount are made per year as and when I have time, and any sets done would
normally go to the next person on the list I have that have requested a set, there is currently a few on it as you can imagine but I will add yours.

Previously the 'Kit' wouldn't include the B pillar seal as they are notoriously difficult to make a version that actually does what it's meant to do, largely due to the design of the hood and it's relationship
to the glass, which severely restricts design possibilities, however over the last 3 months or so I have put a fair bit of time into designing something that not only works but also looks the part
aesthetically, and have come up with a kit that is by far the neatest design yet. I will make a new video with them in the near future and post it on LEC so watch this space. ;-)
