During a moment of stupidity this morning when closing the roof on my S2 pushed against the grey trim panel just to outside of locking catches ?name which broke into two pieces. The plastic was very cold and looks brittle ?old age. It is part of a single panel running full length on the front of the roof and appears to be held in place by central grab "handle". It looks irrepairable. Is it possible to source a replacement part? Thanks

Top tip....
If you go second hand... Source the parts from an SE/ or N/A... The reason being...The S2's are renound for there brittleness in the header area.
TTFN
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The N/A-Team.

Thanks. Does anyone know source for second hand parts near East Anglia?
Also your message implies by word "if" that new parts might be available, would Lotus have a supply and if so anyone know what this bit is called ?part number?

I had fracturing of the plastic where the fixing nuts are. Rather than give up on it and trying to find new take the plastic section off( it is not difficult) and rebuild it with plastic padding underneath with a hessian /cloth backing support. Smoothoff the irregularities and then paint the whole panel with colour paint to match your trim. It is worth trying and with me gave a good result. If you get a replacement you will be throwing it away anyway.
