Scrape

Postby antelope » Tue 31.08.2010, 17:34

Some b*stard has scraped the offside rear wing...an area of scrape about 4 inches by 6, quite deep scratches...in PCWorld car park in Solihull. Anyone any idea what it'll cost to rectify and can anyone recommend somewhere who'll do it, preferably in the midlands?
Many thanks
David

About £200 if it's confined to one panel. My village sprayshop did a good job when mine was keyed, even matching Pacific Blue faultlessly.

Sorry to hear about your bad news...but Solihull is a rough place, probably one of the local residents in their Porsche Cayenne.

Is the process of repairing the same as if it were paint on metal? I'd assumed that it was a gelcoat issue...and so more complex.

I live near Stratford Lotuska..they have two Cayennes each round here. They're that tasteful.

I would ask the shops in the area if they have CCTV...Many of the shops on retail parks have CCTV to act against ram raiding and in some instances it is a stipulation on their insurance policies.

You never know you may be in luck ...

Good luck

CCTV not on maybe an excuse someone did my mini in sainsburys and I asked for the same, the manager couldn't give a s**t. Was later told only the police can ask to view tapes and the incident needs to be reported ad a crime which obviously won't be taken seriously so it'll be you had to fork out like I had to. There are some wankers about. :)
