Probably a naive question but please humour me. I have a 1 inch horizontal split in the front bumper from a parking incident (my fault). Is this repairable by the 'chips away' brigade or are we in new bumper territory ? The guy was showing me some very impressive repairs in modern bumpers and said that painted wasn't a problem.... are M100 bumper made of the same stuff?
Thanks
Rich

The bumpers are made of plastic and can be repaired by welding, plastic welding.
The bumper will need to come off the car and you may save some money by removing it and then taking it to a body shop to have repaired.
Some years ago mine had a hole punched in it by a tow ball, all or most of the plastic was still there all be it pushed in, it was repaired and is now as good as new, at least the outside is. .
