Hello all, I've been working with isaydingdong on the decals for my JPS version.
I've asked them if they'll produce some turbo elan decals as per Paul's jps. There seemed to be some interest on here from a few of you.
Does anyone know the correct size for the decal, because they don't want to produce the cutter the wrong size.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll mention it to them.

I guess its either PaulP or GUK for the answer to this question

I have a new set in NMY that I never installed on my BRG Elan, will dig them out and measure them but as there never were 'original Turbo Elan' letters I am not sure what you mean by 'correct' size'?

Thanks esprit, you are right of course, so by correct size I guess I really mean the size that best fits the design of the car. I think Paul got it right in my opinion.

I had one made 4 months ago in Gold for my black car, 20cm x 9 cm fits on sill in front of rear wheel. Very wet outside, I'll try to get a photo.

Sorry for the photo quality, but here's a pic of the ones on my car. Somebody here had them made up a couple of years ago. Wish I could remember who (Paul P or Enright?). I'll try to find the thread.
For now, here's the pic.

I can narrow that down by one - it wasn't me.
Many moons ago I started experimenting with a similar logo, but never did anything with it.
I probably still have the graphic on my laptop though, and wouldn't mind sharing it.

I think it was in a thread of Paul P's. Major Projects maybe? It was a long thread with all the stuff he was doing. I tried a lot of searching the forum for the exact place where I found mine (somebody on here had them and I bought them from/through him. Just can't remember who.) but didn't find it. Paul's car had very similar ones and the thread has a source for them in it, but they were pretty expensive -- 65 GBP I think. They also weren't exactly like the ones I have, in that the letters in "elan" don't have any overlap. The Turbo Esprit logo had the exact fonts the ones I have use, and there is the overlap in the letters. I really like these as a tribute. They're a good size too, so they aren't obnoxious, but they are noticeable.

Thanks all.
Chris would you agree on the size being 20 * 9 cm?

I measured mine just now. Overall length x height in inches is 8 x 3. That's about 20 x 8 cm. So your 20 x 9 seems to be right on.

I designed and made these. Gave them away for free.
Found some the other day in Jiffy bags ready to post out to old members
Was a long time ago.

I'm not normally one for stickers, particularly none-original ones, but these are very nice indeed.

Any for sale then?

In addition to the turbo elan decals, I have two other decals/stickers on mine. I like them all, obviously.

Forgive the wheels. These pictures were taken some time ago, before I re-finished the wheels in gun metal.
