Who, if not Trim Technology?

I've just had a slightly frustrating experience with Craig and the guys at Trim Technology. Basically my own fault for not getting going quickly enough......cos I've known for a while from an earlier thread that "Peter" will be retiring this summer. Anyway, despite some hope earlier this week, it appears that he is now retiring at the end of June and not July and is fully scheduled til then - so I've missed the boat.

At this point, Trim Technology will take orders to supply the parts (Hood + Seals), but will no longer offer a fitting service. Given all I've read about how tricky fitting can be, not only do I not want to do it myself, but I really dont want to get suckered by Mr Bodge. Craig has offered to put me in touch with "someone in London who buys a lot of hoods".

Has anybody got any other experiences of good hood fitters out there?

As an update to the above....

Craig phoned this morning cos he has been busy on my behalf (for which I'm very grateful) and has potentially done a deal with Car Hoods Direct at Tunbridge Wells to fit the hood/etc that Trim Tech will supply. Anybody know anything about the guys in Tunbridge Wells??

Hi.

Have seen a hood on an Elan M100 at Tatton Park car Show fitted by them, was a nice fit, very firm with NO BAGGY bits at the rear part . They can do them in any colour I believe.

john who do you mean???? the carhood northern people!!!!
they wont make a hood or seals...you need to provide the bits and theyll fit it for £200.......Ive just asked em......they dont make anything for lotus...'you must get lotus parts' is what they have just said....also I dont think they know that trim tech make the hoods, as they reitterated 'lotus parts only' when I mentioned trim techs hood.....
it was all abit like that banking ad......new customers only!!!!
