engine cuts out at speed

hiya me again, done some reading and had a look a the wastegate, reading the other threads i reckon my wastegate is sticking tried to jigle it today, but would not budge, Im taking its th thin pole that needs turning, or does it need to go left and right, iv read about the leaver needs to be turned to open and close the wastegate, where is this, is it best to get at it under the car?

It's tricky. It only moves by about 5mm, and it has to go towards the driver's side wheel. You need to use some molegrips and lever the rod a few times by leaning against the diaphragm housing (which is towards the passenger side).

thanks to every one concerned, managed to get the wastegate freed up today with some long nosed pliars, all working correctly, just a word though, the car now does not seem to be as fast on accelaration, is that becuse the boost was constantly sticking on, top speed is good and the boost only goes up by about a quarter, which reading some of the other threads is normal,
