Accordion hose replacement

Hi all,
Sorry to be a newb on this but what do you replace the elephant's trunk accordion hose with on your e!ans?
I want to change mine to something better suited to the job but can't seem to find anything off the shelf...if there even is such a thing!

Let me start by stating that there is not much wrong with the original.
There are some replacement options out there on the forum. The pipe is the induction pipe.

I've only really seen a system where a length of aluminium tube is connected at each end with a silicon hose (other than the samco replacement which was unsuitable for purpose).

Personally, it has never bothered me, and it needs the rigidity provided by the original (or a replacement tubular item).....

..... if it purely a cosmetic approach, then maybe either plastikote paint or coloured heatshrink tubing may work, but I have no experience with the modification, and don't know anyone who has.......


....still, someone has to go first ......

Yes it's pretty cosmetic really, just wanted to tidy it up and wondered what the words of wisdom on this were from those who have way more experience than I do.
Think I will hold fire and sit on this one based on the info received...thanks guys, much appreciated.

You can plastidip it in any color you'd like though!
